Service And Scope
NICKNOW is a Discord nickname automation service. It includes a Discord bot, a customer website, a customer API, and related operator tooling.
NICKNOW provides automation tooling only. Server owners and authorized admins are responsible for how they configure and use the bot, including nickname templates, role mappings, moderation posture, and community consequences.
Customer Responsibility
Server owners and authorized admins are responsible for their own configuration and governance choices, including:
- How nickname templates, role mappings, and override logic are configured and used.
- How those configurations affect moderation, access, discipline, reputation, and community outcomes.
- Compliance with Discord rules, applicable law, and third-party rights.
Use of the bot in a server, community, or organization remains the responsibility of the relevant server owner and authorized admins.
Acceptable Use
You may not use NICKNOW to:
- Violate applicable law, Discord rules, or another person’s rights.
- Bypass security controls, authorization boundaries, or rate limits.
- Disrupt the service, deploy malware, or create platform or operational risk.
- Harvest data or profile people for unrelated abusive purposes.
- Harass, discriminate against, impersonate, defame, mislabel, or otherwise harm people through nickname automation, role-linked labeling, or related server configuration.
Support And Complaints
NICKNOW support is primarily handled through the official Discord support server and other support channels the operator makes available. Those channels may be used for bot help, configuration issues, and complaints about a server using NICKNOW.
Support requests and complaints may include information such as Discord user IDs, server IDs, screenshots, message links, configuration context, and a description of the issue. The operator may review complaints and take action when reasonably able, including restricting features, suspending access, disabling server configurations, or terminating service access where appropriate.
Support requests and complaints do not create a general duty to monitor all customer activity, and the operator does not guarantee that every complaint will result in investigation, response, or enforcement action.
No Duty To Monitor
The operator has no general obligation to monitor nickname outputs, templates, role mappings, moderation decisions, server governance, or disputes between users, staff, or third parties.
Suspension And Reservation Of Rights
The operator may investigate, restrict, suspend, disable, refuse, or terminate access to any account, server, configuration, feature, integration, or endpoint for abuse, security, legal, platform-risk, policy, or operational reasons.
The operator may also change, pause, retire, or discontinue features and workflows when reasonably needed.
Discord Dependency And No Affiliation
NICKNOW depends on Discord APIs, permissions, role hierarchy behavior, events, policies, and uptime. If Discord changes or limits relevant behavior, NICKNOW may degrade, stop, or behave differently.
NICKNOW is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by Discord unless explicitly stated in writing.
Disclaimers
NICKNOW is provided on an as-is and as-available basis, to the maximum extent permitted by law. The operator disclaims warranties including availability, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
The operator does not guarantee that any nickname will be applied, preserved, restored, or visible at any specific time.
Indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the operator and related personnel from claims, losses, liabilities, penalties, and reasonable costs arising from your use of the service, your breach of these terms, or your violation of law, Discord rules, or third-party rights.
Limitation Of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost goodwill, reputational harm, or business interruption.
If liability cannot be fully excluded, it is limited to the minimum amount permitted by applicable law. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
Privacy
The Privacy Policy and Cookie Notice describe current data handling. If product data flows materially change, those public documents should be updated before rollout.
Governing Law And Disputes
These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of Israel, and disputes are intended to be handled in Israel, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
